    Thanks to Mr Epic for posting the note by Toby. Thanks to Toby for voicing his concerns so clearly. I do hope no one gets injured. This would be very embarrassing- the second year in a row we've had injuries at the Canadian Open!

    The Canadians lose a long rally but even it by winning the next point quickly at the Yonex Canada Grand Prix 2014.

    Two step closer for former KOR #1 Lee Hyun Il to win GP title as he knocked out top-seed Chou Tien Chen and will take on Wong Wing Ki next.

    SEMIFINALS (6.00pm, 2 courts) => https://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...35A&d=20140704

    Home last hopeful, Michelle Li will get Korean young talent Ko Eun Byul. It's KOR v TPE in WD last four and TPE pairs rule MD semifinal with three slots.

    Michelle Li is on course to last round and TPE unseeded Pai Yu Po will be her final opponent. MS front runner, Lee Hyun Il is fave to beat HKG promising shuttler Ng Ka Long tomorrow.

    Both KOR and TPE have secured WD and MD title respectively while XD discipline is going to the script, top seed v second seed.

    FINALS (1.00pm local time) => http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sp...35A&d=20140705

    The organizer will save the best as last match for home fans, Michelle Li v Pai Yu Po.

    I'm also impressed... there're also 2 more practice courts on the upper mezzanine level!

    But what good is it, if the players complain of lack of cushioning...

    Live streaming is on today for the finals (kind of surprised at that).

    Michelle did well to win her match yesterday (hard fought).

    Michelle Li has no coach in the interval?
    I've just tuned in during the second game , but Michelle looks exhausted. The expression on her face can only give her opponent more hope.

    ... correction: they are both walking around between points like they are exhausted. That must have been one grueling 1st game.

    Michelle Li shows some life in a very energetic rally to make it 17-18 in G2.

    Before that she was moping about the court in a way that some coach is going to have to correct if she wants to seem more formidable to her opponents. She could learn from Eugenie Bouchard, the Canadian tennis player who seems to ooze quiet confidence.

    Excellent run of points and well played final point for a win for Michelle Li.
    When she shows a killer instinct, she is good!
