    Dear community,

I have a question and hoping that somebody can help...

I would like to remove the logo from the strings... Has anybody an idea how to do that without damaging the strings? :(

Well if you are wondering why the hell I would like to do that... The story behind is... I have ordered a racket from a german Badminton store with stringing... But instead of the Yonex logo, they have put a logo of their store on the strings, which looks really horrible...

Well, I know, restringing is an option, but I would like to keep these strings for a few mounth, because they are totaly new... It would be pity to throw them away...

Thanks a lot for any idea!

Can you not use nail polish remover to removed it? I presume this will not cause problems on the strings it self.

I wait till the experts answer the question in case I'm wrong

Thanks for the idea, but I am a little bit worried, if the nail-polish-remover will harm the strings...

I believe it is no way, if any, to remove the stencil ink logo.
An alternative is that, if the logo is in black, instead, paint the whole set of string into black, and in red vice versa. In this way, the logo will be "hidden".

That must have been sucks to have a store' logo painted on the racket string (somebody should've sued them or next time they'll repaint the whole shaft and paint their logo on it). I've never heard any stores in Asia dare enough to paint their logo on customer's racket unless asked for. The most they do was to attach small logo sticker on the butt cap of racket or issue a receipt with their logo on it.

Play with it for a few minutes? That seems to work for most Yonex rackets nowadays :D

At least now you wont lose it right?
It wouldn't bother me personally, but if it was stenciled something inappropriate, I would restring it lol

nail polish remover might work, but it will definitely dry up the string, which might cause it to break a little easier.

best way is to just deal with it and next time ask them not to put their ugly store logo on your stringbed. :)

Well to be honest I have bever thought about that, when I ordered it... I thought they will put as usual the yonex logo on it... Specially, because I ordered from a well known Badminton Store in Germany... I looked like this:eek:, when I opened the parcel...

But again, life is neverending lerning, will not make the same mistake again... I will definitly mention my logo whishes at all my future orders for sure...

By the way, this is the logo we are talking about... In my eyes a real horror on a nice new Yonex racket...

You can try to find eucalyptus oil and put a few drops onto a soft cloth to rub it over the string. I did this everytime I got a racket with a logo painted on its string and it doesn't change anything with the string.
I prefer the boring plain white string than every other thing.

plus, the ink on the string will make the string feels dull.. I always asked for my stringer not to put any logo on the string

the only thing i write in the top corner of the racket is the string tension. All my rackets have different string tensions depending on the stiffness of the shaft. That way i dont forget what needs what when i restring. :p

Once I tried white logo on black string (request of the owner) but the white ink didn't work at all. In the end I used black ink on almost the complete string job to get rid of it. Told the owner what I did and if the strings would feel bad or break sooner I would restring for free. Never had any complaints....
