    Dear Fans:

I am comparing Yonex FB vs Jetspeed 8PS.

Besides the weight of 5U vs a 3U racket.

Which one is the swing speed faster , and also for smashing wise which is better?.

Just wonder for smashes is it good , as Mohammad Ahsan smash with FB at will , as this racket is not head heavy.

    Fans , pls advise?

Jetspeed will likely swing faster since it's more aerodynamic, but the FB will be more maneuverable. Ahsan is a professional and is likely to shoot bullets from any racket (even if his FB is speculated to be VTZF or 3U). In any case, for smashes, go with the Jetspeed.

    A few questions for you...

Do you think the pros are really using the FB and if so, would they be using a 5U?

Do you think comparing the speed of a 3U racquet with a 5U racquet is meaningful?

Why are you comparing them? Are you looking to buy? If so, why not just try them?

FYI I have heard of FBs breaking in the low to mid 20's lbs.

Yes . I am buying it , just order yesterday a 5U JP code, expected to arrive next month .

I hope to put on lead tape to make it more stable, so that it will not break ..

Any fans can comment on this ?

Hi Bro : How about I put on a yonex cushion wrap on yonex FB 5U , then tape it on AC102 EX super Grap (3 Wraps) grip before putting on a victor lead tape, with tension of 27 horizontal 25 vertical with BG 65 string .. be it better guard against breaking ?

Nothing but leaving your FB in your bag will prevent it from breaking. Adding grips will not protect the head. Just have fun with it.

looking at the evidence presented with the picture of the repainted ZF and the multiple pictures of broken Fb's, I'm going out on a limb and saying that none of the pros that used a FB actually used a FB.

I said in my opinion none of them use a real FB, check out the ZF2 thread as there's a picture of a DK coded 3U racquet painted to look like a FB. It's a con.
