It's all over as Huang Kaixiang/Zheng Siwei win the rubber-set 21-18. CHN regains the Suhandinata Cup.

Overall, a courageous and spirited display by Team INA, in particular, the XD and BD pairs. Let's see whether INA can win some more medals in the individual event.

Too bad INA best chance to steal point Jonatan Christie failed in the end, hopefully he can make it in individual event.

Well, 9th title for CHN after defeat INA 3-0. Same outcome for Indonesians to bag silver medal this time. Congrats to both teams!

The draw for the individual event is released.

Tough draw for Jonatan Christie if he's to win the Gold medal. He's drawn to meet either Lee Cheuk Yiu [9/16] or Lin Guipu [5/8] in the QF; either Zhao Junpeng [3/4] or Cheam June Wei [5/8] in the SF.

Shi Yuqi [2] awaits him in the lower half and Mohd Bayu Panghistu [9/16] is expected to test him in R16. But before that, Bayu is scheduled to meet Firman Abdul Kholik in R64 (unlucky draw indeed).

The last INA player in BS Anthony Sinisuka Ginting [9/16] is also scheduled to meet Ye Binghong in R32.

These will all be tough matches and I will be happy if INA has 2 representatives in QF.

    Hahaha, nice one there!

But it's also worth keeping in mind that, eventually, he got nailed!

Surprise surprise, a CHN BS player Ye Binghong lost to Dmitrii Riabov in 3 sets. Meanwhile, INA also lost 1 BS player as Firman Abdul Kholik lost to Lee Zii Jia. So, Mohd Bayu Panghistu will face Lee Zii Jia tomorrow.

2 other matches involving INA representatives in GD R64. Another pair received a bye.

Upon closer look, CHN also lost 1 XD pair in Yao Zhidi/Hu Yuxiang.

INA's 2 GD pairs advance to R32. Brigita Marcella Rumambi/Jauza Fadhila Sugiarto beat the seeded pair from SIN in 3-sets.

INA lost another XD pair in XD R64 as Gea Kamahamas/Marsheilla Gischa Islami lost to Tan Jin Hwa/Goh Yea Ching in straight-sets.

3 XD pairs advance to R32 to be played tomorrow and we may only have 1 pair (at most 2 pairs) by R16:
Alexander Bond/Ditte Soby Hansen [9/16] vs Reinard Dhanriano/Nisak Puji Lestari - honestly, not sure how this will turn out to be as the INA pair is facing a seeded pair from DEN. Hopefully, the INA pair can progress.

Ooi Zi Heng/Yap Zhen vs Raffidias Akhdan Nugroho/Zakia Ulfa [5/8] - a tricky match involving MAS opponents as always. Still, Raffi/Zakia are expected to progress.

Mohd Rian Ardianto/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari vs Kim Jung Ho/Kim Hye Jeong [2] - an unlucky draw for Rian/Rosyita and INA fan can only hope for the best from them.

Meanwhile, in the BS and GS, INA's Jonatan Christie [1], M. Bayu Panghistu [9/16] and Ruselli Hartawan [9/16] cleared their first matches easily. Ruselli is expected to test the first-set Akane Yamaguchi [1] (assuming the Japanese beat Chen Xiaoxin of CHN in R32) in R16. That will be a tough one for her. Jonatan is expected to progress at least to QF where Lin Guipu [5/8] or Lee Cheuk Yiu [9/16] will await him.

In the 3 remaining GS matches, a massive match for Gregoria Mariska vs Busanan Ongbumrungpan [2] today. Ditto for Aurum Oktavia Winata in facing another seeded player Luise Helm [9/16], while Fitriani is expected to progress at the expense of Yeo Jia Min.

In the remaining BS match, Anthony Ginting [9/16] is also expected to progress.

Finally, 3 BD matches later in the afternoon. Althof Barriq/Reinard Dhanriano [9/16] and Danang Haryandika/Ivan Gunardi are expected to progress to R32, while Mohd Rian Ardianto/Clinton Hendrik Kudamasa [9/16] have a tough opener against Kenya Mitsuhashi/Yuta Watanabe. The Japanese pair also pushed the reigning AJC champion Huang/Zheng to 3-sets during the Mixed-Team Championships SF and beat Althof/Reinard in the AJC Individual Event QF.
