So, you want to string at 28lb+ but want it to last longer than a couple of weeks, which string do you use?
I've personally found that NBG98 has lasted me the longest out of most strings which is a bit odd since it is a 0.66mm However this could be possibly due to me using the ZF series where it is a bit harder to snap strings from mishits as there is less exposed single main strings compared to some other rackets The rackets I restring from others are usually due to mis hits and not wear! Still yet to test this string that I got for free called KingFisher which is a 0.75mm haha
Yes Cheung, I feel this string is quite under-rated, part of the reason i feel from what some of my friends/customers have said is because "national players don't use it"
If you feel that it's good and like it, use it. Doesn't really matter whether national players use it or not.
No i'm not saying that's why I don't use it, i've been stringing and recommending it for about 6 months, just when some customers that ask me to suggest them a string and i suggest NBG98 that is what they would say, all I can reply back is, wait till you try it and then decide on if you like it!
Yeah, we're on the same page. Some people feels that only strings use by national players are worth using .... strange ....
I know, feel it's quite silly to think like that, they miss out on some very nice strings! However a lot of mine choose by colour rather than string, or just stick to BG65Ti
That being said. I think your local climate plays significant enough part as well. In Singapore I've taken ZM65 and BG 80 and VS-850 all the way up to 30lbs and yet I have never managed to break any strings for months before I finally get fed up and cut it because the tension loss isn't negligible anymore I doubt that I could do the same in a western climate which is has much colder drier air.
I string my racquets at 28 lbs and I break the strings on average once per month. Mind you that I use bg66um so I'd say that's pretty good.
Toalson Biologic 8000 or Nanopremium 66 It may feel like playing with steel strings but it sure lasts
Get some steel cable like Kwun did! lol My preferred tension is 30lb and it seems to last quite well with my NBG99.
