IBF has set 5x7 for all international junior events and all Grand Prix
events this year. Unless major glitch is found looks likely that there
will be general switch next year or so.

Rules are the same as now except:

    5 games to 7 points
set to 8 at 6 (optional of course)
90 sec break between all games with coaching allowed. Can't leave
the court with permission of the umpire. NO 5 minute break.
change sides at 4 in the 5th game.

USAB requires 5x7 for all junior events this year and recommends it for others.
    Junior Nationals is 5x7.

USAB will push out 5x7 when IBF does. All signs are that this will be next year.

These rules suck. I just played a tournament here in Singapore over the weekend and we played using the old 15x3 format.

  3. yes 15X3 is definitely better. especially when i made a comeback from 1-10 to win 17-14 last friday!!! and that was the 2nd set. i won the 1st set 15-0. although before that i jzu finished a match with a tough opponent, dropping the 1st set n winning rubber.
