I have a racket that was strung when I bought it - received it last summer and it's been wrapped up until I got through the strings on my other rackets.

I've played 3 hours with it, then mis hit on the top cross in a flat drive rally situation and broke the string. Fair enough that it broke, my fault etc. But there were two other nicks in the strings that I noticed after cutting the string and pulling out the fragments. The nicks were located by the grommets. String job was done by Eric/Eric's team.

Are the nicks sign of grommet damage? Do I need to replace them when I get the racket restrung? If so, please point me in direction of reasonable UK supplier for victor meteor (JJS) compatible grommets.

At shared holes? If so, may have been caused by string mover awl.
