Hello Guys, hows it going? I recently broke the frame of my Karakal SL70 and now I am looking for another racket to buy. I have been looking at three rackets that im very interested in buying but I would like to know what you think of these rackets Apacs Tweet 8000 International Li-ning Flame N36 My previous racket. I also want to know other good rakcets that are under the price range of £100. Thanks.
If you like the Karakal SL70, you might like the Apacs Featherweight 200. Or the Featherweight 300; it is a bit heavier but still very light. Both are relatively cheap. Should be less than $100 USD ordered from Malaysia. (not including shipping).
I think you should probably state what type of racket you looking for. If you're looking for something similar to sl70, you might want to check the Victor lightfighter series. I also recommend the adizero series, which would be heavier than the sl70.
Sorry about that. Im looking for a racket that has some lightness to it. Not to much. I play mixed doubles and I play at the back so I need a racket has good power. Flexible shaft would be nice but it doesn't really matter. I also use feather shuttles
The Carlton Kinesis sounds like it would suit you. You could get a pair for your £100 budget because they are on sale. http://m.sportsdirect.com/mt/www.sp..._v_un_info=&un_jtt_v_un_pers=&un_jtt_redirect
Try a Wilson Recon BLX if you can, very strong, dynamic and even balanced racket. It may be 2U weight but that helps with a bit of extra punch from the back.
Thanks for the ideas guys! Instead of the Carlton Im looking for a racket like a Li-ning, Apacs, Karakal or Ashaway. Ive tried Carlton before in the past and I didn't really like the racket. The same with the Wilson.
I've not got much experience of Li-Ning but I would say Carlton are as good if not better than the other brands you mentioned. The high end Apacs rackets such as tantrum 300, lethal 70 are very good value for money but can be difficult to use because they are stiff/head heavy and work best at high tensions. Ashaway super light series would be similar to sl70.
Thanks for the advice Dave1011. Ive been looking at the Ashaway rackets and im considering them or the my previous SL70
The 2013 and 2014 model BLX series are VASTLY improved over the 2009-2012 models. I know a few who have used the older BLX rackets and are now on the 2013 Vertex and they love them. (The Vertex is 290mm balance point)
