I am looking for an all round racquet for both singles and doubles, I will be going to the North American Indigenous games this July and I just need a new racquet. My current racquet is the carbonex 8400 weight around 91 grams, flexible, g4, strung 20-22 ibs the way I bought it. ive had that racquet for a few years and i came to like it a lot. I consider myself a decent higher intermediate player I have been playing badminton in a club for 6 years. My playing style is all round, plus, I do have powerful smashes so i guess i prefer my racquets a little on the heavier side. Im looking for something I can use in doubles and singles and mixed. I have looked around at reviews and have came to consider the arcsaber 8xd or voltric 80. Do you have any racquet and string tension reccomendations?
Fe/male?Although it's all personal taste, the 'flexible' rating is not one I often recommend; usually medium is a better solution (though there are always exceptions).
It's not that stiff and the head weight helps it flex but your recommendations are better! I was going to recommend those but she was looking at VT80 my bad
There's no way I would advise going from a flexible racket to a stiff (vt80) or extra stiff (8dx) one. Even going for a Victor TK6000 is quite a jump considering Victor's stiffness ratings are half a notch stiffer than equivalent rating from yonex. Having said that, you mention you are higher intermediate so your technique should be decent - TK6000 4u is a good shout, as well as meteor x60 (mx60) 4u/3u if you can find it still.
