China will certainly win the two women's event. but Indonesia will also surely win the men's double. as for men's single, indonesia has a slight edge with both Ji and Xia playing poorly recently. my guess is China will play Chen, who will probably be fielded against Taufik. mixed doubles, while China has Zhang/Gao, Indonesia also has Bambang and Minarti, who beat the Chinese pair in the Japan Open. even though China does have a slight edge, the margin of uncertainty is so high that i think the winner can go either way with similar probabilities.
I think China can rely upon their men singles player Chen Hong to provide the winners. Taufik and Hendrawan are no longer feared especially if their recent performances are taken into account.
