Hi everyone, I've been playing badminton for a few years now. I'm not a great player and haven't mastered badminton techniques yet. I have a VTZF1 which I've been using ever since I started. I like the weight and its head-heaviness but I'd like a more flexible shaft. Can someone recommend me a racquet like that? Any brand will do, at any price. I live in Australia just in case you were wondering.Thanks.
Voltric 70 isn't as heavy as z force as I remember. I think voltric 80 or maybe n90 gen1 would be closer to the head weight and a bit thinner. The voltric 70 is definitely more flexible though that thing is kind of ..... Noodly.
Or you can try the Victor TK8000 and 6000, they are both rated as 5/5 head-heaviness and 3/5 for flexibility
Tk8000 is only 4/5 head heavy. That said I second that recommendation if you don't mind going outside of yonex.
I'm wondering about a similar thing. I think my smashes on the ZF1 are quite fast but it lacks that boom sound that I am able to produce with my VT70. Is it because I'm not hitting the sweet spot, the shaft being too stiff, or is my string set up plus the vibration dampening materials in the frame dulling it?
^ just like an overly stiff stringbed from high tension, an overly stiff shaft will be more demanding in requiring a higher degree of power input it's great if you have the power for it, but not very forgiving if you don't
