i have a friend ermm.. 14 years old.. a semi-pro.... a state player........ in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia... he strings his racquets with BG-66 at 26lbs.... well... i asked him once how many strings he uses in a month..... he told me he had to restring eight times average per month...................... imagine a world-class pro.........
ardy wiranata replaces his bg65 once a week. He only do training now. Lately we convince him to switch to bg80.
pro players usually get sponsor so they won't get their pocket burned because of it...... usually double players changed string more frequently than single players because double's trains a lots of smashing and drills........ and double players usually string their racquet at much higher lbs than singles player........ single player , many depends on what kind of player they are , if they are stroke player , they usually string lower lbs which give them more control but less powerful ... the fast pace attacking players usually string a higher lbs to have a more power and sped game but less control .......
Is that 8 restringing jobs per month per racquet though? Same question regardin Ardy. Is that 1 string replacement per week per racquet? -Rick
Holy crap!!! I know BG-66 is a fragile string, but 8 re-stringing jobs per racquet per month?! That's like getting the racquet restrung every 3 days... I wish I have customers like your friends... -Rick
haha... he is only 14... and pocess such strength.... imagine world class player....... ermm.. this si only for asian standard of play
Hmmm Bg-66 is that fragile?? Has he ever played with Bg-65 or Bg65ti and how many times does he have to re-string with it?
