Always great to see the East vs West in the final.ie.MS and MD
Peter Gade vs Lin Dan should be a cracker. Gade deserve to win having gone so far but Lin Dan will be too strong i think.
Can't say who will win the Men's Doubles should be close but I 'predict' Kim Dong Moon plus Ra will wins hands down (Kim Dong Moons rules!)
I also 'predict' as usual the Chinese girls takes honours both the Singles and doubles.

    Any bettings!

Can you predict otherwise for WS or WD??:)

MS - Lin Dan but it should be relatively close.

MD - Choong/Lee as they have come so close and yet so far in recent tourneys, they deserve the victory.

WD - Yang/Zhang as Gao/Huang must be tired as h*ll after their record-length match against Ra/Lee.

XD - the legends and soon to be hall of famers without a problem.

For MS , most likelt Lin Dan will take the honor , unless Gade will do some miraculous stunts to clinch the title.

MD : Malaysia Boleh.. Choong/Lee will get it this time. I really hope they will not let this great opportunity slips away.

WS : Gong RuiNa.. no doubt about it.. but ZhouMi is really on fire after what she did to Zhang Ning last night.

WD: This is neck to neck battle again.. but i will give it to Gao/Huang

XD : Kim/RA!!! go for the record

It is time to realize their destiny, Choong and Lee. The perenial under-achievers of world badminton, it is now the time of reckoning. Winning this 6* tournament will set their spirit and confidence to new heights for the Olympics. They deserve this win now. Just don't fall AGAIN. The whole of Malaysia is behind you, my badminton brethren.

    Peter Gade vs Lin Dan
    - No idea who to go for, but going by recent form, I'd say Lin Dan may just steam roll over Peter.

    Gong Ruina vs Zhou Mi
    - No contest, Miss Pretty Chubby Face herself!
Note : Support given based on looks and favouritism. BF discretion advised. ;)

Gao Ling / Huang Sui vs Yang wei / Zhang Jiewen
    - Again, I love that constant smile on the faces of the big sisters. They deserve to win by cheerfulness alone!

Kim Dong Moon / Ra Kyung Min vs Kim Yong Hyun / Lee Hyo Jung
    - "I can see it... the number... looks like a ... 1... and... 2... no... together... it looks like ... yes... 12... the number 12".

    Nope, the record stands 2-all.
Choong/Lee also outplayed the Danish pair in last week's Swiss Open quarter-finals.

Whether Malaysia can win their first ALl England's men doubles since 1982 will depend largely on one man, Choong Tan Fook. He has the tendenacy to give away easy points when under pressure. If he can soak up the pressure in the final, there is no way Choong/Lee can lose to the Danes. Having said that, Choong/Lee always win when they are expected to lose and win when you expect them to lose. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It is going to be real exciting tonight.

I really hope Choong & Lee can redeem themselves to complement the gold that Hafix won last year.

It will be a much deserved prize to them for bearing the Malaysian flag for so long and often times they bore the brunt of unkind words when they were not able to win and poor Choong seems to be the main target. At least for once the entire Malaysian badminton fans will embrace them and shower them with all the good things which were also showered on Hafix. Ii will be a good departing gift as both are not young anymore.

for once, i m rallying behind the m'sians.. bt they will hv to put up a better performance thn they hd last night... though they hd cai/fu kicked out, they wrnt convincing enough (at least in my humble opinion) comparing to the danish pair...

I disagree that Chong and Lee played worst than the Danes in the semifinals.I think the Danes had an easier opponent than Chong/Lee and that makes you think they play better.

no doubt cai/fu are tougher, only whn they play their game lk whn they disposed lee/yoo in the quarter.. bt last night, both cai n fu ws lk 70% fit n committed too many unforced errors... i disagree eng hian/flandy are easier opponent thn cai/fu in last night games...

    sorry to say....

but.... i've watch the way the danes play... it seems that their movement is slower on court comp[ared to asains counterpart....

and it has been traditionally for the european pairs to be weaker than asian pair.....

this is mainly due to the defensive game they play unlike asians who concentrate more on atttacking
