    Hi,

This week will be the first time ill be flying with badminton equipment, ill be going with singapore airlines. I can check my badminton bag as "sports equipment" as described by the singapore airlines website but am not sure if my rackets will be safe, has anyone tried taking rackets abroad using singapore airlines, or any other airlines for that matter using this method?

Also I cant take my badminton bag as hand luggage is it is outside the dimensions set.

I usually only carry one or two rackets, so I always put them into my suitcase. Never had a problem.

I hand carry my rackets in a cloth bag. I don't trust that the rackets will return in one piece...

It shouldn't be an issue with Singapore Airlines or any other airlines. I haven't tried Singapore Airlines, but Thai Airways is OK with this (hand carry the rackets).

As for your bag... you can always replace it with a backpack. I haven't seen any airlines reject a passenger carrying a backpack, LOL. Unless it flouts rules.

Thanks for the reply. I actually spoke to singapore airlines when checking in and they took the rackets as fragile sports equipment and took it away separately, I had 6 rackets arrive safely at my destination :)
