If you have sweaty hands, yes it'll cause mold and worse yet, rot of the wood. Just use a layer of electrical tape directly on the wood first.
Will athletic tape work? :0 thank you honestly the G4 grips are a tad too big so I put on old super grap on the wood then new super grap over it feels funny but thank you!
Oh, no need to go online. Just go to home hardware store like Home Depot or Canadian Tire. Only like $3
Haha so lazy.... But I could go pick some up since I walk to my badminton centre and Home Depot is Infront of it , thanks visor!
If he's happy with his handle, that's great! But since he wants to, uh, waterproof it, he could use this, er, rubber thingy, omit the replacement grip step and go directly to overgrip. He'd get great bevels, direct feel and (more-or-less) the same diameter- all for a more rewarding experience! Wait! What am I talking about?
I use grap on bare wood. I have a G5 racket. I use double sided sticky tape to secure it to the wood but the grap wears extremely quickly. This happened after 5 hrs of play. The edges are worn through. I should add I work with my hands so they are a little rough. I also have a question on how you stop the bulge grip from moving up the handle? I currently use old grap cut down and stuck round using the old grap sticky tape.
Try not to stretch grap a lot it prolongs the life, it's lasting me more than a month, not sure about the bulge because I don't make one
