    Hey all,

Is it true that color affects strings performance?

Im planning to get NBG98 Black to match my ZForce 2 color.

However im afraid it will affect performance of the string.

    Im planning to get 2.

My first string was VS-850, black. Did serve me well but the string paint chipped quite easily. Does this happen to Yonex strings too? Thanks :)

You will get some different playing characteristics from the string. It's up to you whether it is 'better', 'same' or 'worse'.

Personally, I stick to light colours for strings. Just feel tey have better playability.

There are previous threads on this subject.

I agree I feel like light colors feel better. Dark colors like black just feel really dull... To me I generally use yellow sometimes white

How bout silver gray? I think it's the betweenness of light and dark colors.

From my experience with silver gray ZM62 and NBG98, this colour felt the greasiest, for some reason or other.

my singles hitting partner strictly uses Victor VS-850 strings and he said that blue and white are more durable than black. he tries to use blue when it's available.
