    Dear all,

It was my first time observing two bumps (near grommets of 8 o' clock) and a small chip in between 4 and 5 o 'clock) on my 4U VT 70 (strung at 24lbs). When I received my racket from stringing, I did not notice any noticeable bumps or chip. Is there a possibility that the racket is suffering a internal crack at those region?

PS: new racket bought from recent warehouse sale.

    Best regards,
    WL

I think most stringing machines have supports at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o'clock which could cause damage to the paint on your racket. I've never seen this though although some people complained about VTZF having this flaw. I've got a VT70 as well but never had this sort of problem.

Have you clashed into another racket, bumped into anything or dropped it? If you didn't notice anything after you got it strung then it's most likely one of the above reasons.

If it's a crack then you would notice. Rackets are quite sturdy and don't crack that easily. You could try to scrape off the paint around the chipped paint in order to check it if you are worried.
