    this the caption: R Nixon in HK 1964. He had just been defeated by Kennedy in a presidential election not long before. The went on a world tour and relearn world politics. Won the 2nd time.

    Who knows why politicians think that it's endearing. It's just goofy.
    This candidate lost the Canadian election in 1974, not least because of this newpaper photo: :crying:

    Nothing wrong with a panhandle grip in receiving the shuttle at that height. By the way the finger curls around the handle, it looks like he's played racket sports before :)
