Dear all, I am looking to buy my gf a new badminton racket for her birthday. She usually play doubles and prefer head light rackets. Her level is btw high beginner- intermediate. she is using a Nanoray 20 3u and i would like to get her a new racket < $100SGD. She would like to try another brand other than yonex. Please recommend me rackets pls!! THANK YOU!!
The problem is that nobody besides Yonex makes cheap head-light rackets I would say the Victor JS8ST would be absolutely ideal, but it's way above budget! She might like the Nanoray 60 - a bit stiffer, so she might get a bit more power out of it, and you should be able to get it for 100 dollars.
dunlop biometics(spelling?) has a headlight version. wilson BLX force is headlight with a flexible shaft. gosen superlight 75? (not sure about the accuracy of the name itself) carlton ignite rapid is headlight. head metallix 8000 is a tiny bit headlight (i love this racket) off the top of my head this is all the headlight rackets i have that are toward the lower end of the price range.
There were a few Babolat's that may fit the bill. I believe that the "N-tense Lite' is an affordable but decent head-light racket.
Thank you!! THIS IS SO TRUE!! i have check out apacs and victor and usually they make head heavy or balance racket? Just curious, Do you guys know why other brands dont make head light rackets?? Will apacs Apacs EdgeSaber 10 be too stiff for her?? I rarely see gosen, Carlton or Babolat rackets in Singapore. But i will check it out.
These head light rackets can be found in malaysia as far as i know prince oversize pro tour 85g / flexible / 50T shaft dunlop biomimetic ultimate 88g / medium / "HM6" shaft dunlop biomimetic elite 85g / flexible / "HM6" shaft dunlop biomimetic max 85g / extra flexible / "HM6" shaft apacs sensuous 888 87g / flexible / 24T shaft I myself am still looking for 280mm / 85-86g / medium or stiff / high materials
The rackets are getting lighter thanks to materials research, so head heavy rackets move much more easily these days; there's no need for headlight balance any more.
