I'm glad they're expanding the colour options for this awesome shoe. It's been widely adopted by a lot of Yonex sponsored players and for good reason. I think this will be the only shoe where I might order a couple more as back up.
It's about 30g lighter than my SHB65FT/86EX and without any compromise in cushioning. It is very flexible and makes me feel like I'm faster and getting to shots sooner, but in fact it's probably just reducing the rate of fatigue. After a long session (3+ hours) I don't feel too tired to move my feet around, and I don't feel like the shoes are clunky (experienced this with the 65FTs). I only got them because my 65FTs started ripping at one of the seems
These arrived in the mail the other day and I tried them on for a bit (though I have yet to play in them).
They originally came with orange laces though I switched them out.
Could you please tell how they play? Especially the cusioning. How is the cushioning for such low weight shoe? I'm looking for light shoes with good cushioning and I weigh ~88 kg.
Sure, it will probably be four days till I can give you an with a proper answer on how they play (which I will come back to you with) as things here are a bit hectic at the moment, but I have tried them on and such.
As for my initial impression I'll say they are comfortable (however they are noticeably more narrow than quite a few other shoes out there- which is fine for me because my feet are narrow). The walls of the shoe is rather thin so I would not count on it being very durable as well as the fact that it is made from synthetic leather (but we'll see in a few months). As for cushioning, at first glance of the shoe there appears to be quite a bit less cushioning than other pairs of shoes that I have used in the past, but the final verdict is yet to come.
