Another top gun in this SS, Lin Dan will take on second MAS MS, Chong Wei Feng after Liew Daren in qualifying round. And similar pattern, Danish #1 Jorgensen will get two home shuttlers in two consecutive days, Momota and Takeshita. WS, the top two seeds will find the hardworking local hopes, Hirose and Takahashi. Who can stop CHN ladies to add more SS title as we know the trio of Li + Wangs have bagged all 5 SS titles that been completed this year (KOR, MAS, AE, IND, SIN)?

There were some really surprise loss and some weren't. I'm looking forward to the clashes between the ladies today. Most of the men clashes seem pretty one-sided to me.
IMO, MAS Thomas Cup pairing of HTH/TBH and GVS/TWK were pretty good and tactical. Now, in Japan Open, the original pairing of HTH/TWK is back which opponents are familiar with their style of play, and this pair form has not been good in the last few months. I thought GVS/TWK pairing shows lots of promisies in Thomas Cup. TBH has a lay back play style since pairing with KKK, shows urgency when paired with HTH in Thomas Cup. And, GVS (cool as cucumber in his playing style) seems to lack the urgency to up his play tempo, might influence TBH to play his 'lay back play' again. I do hope to see MAS pairs in the Top -5, and thus hope MAS got their pairing right. Lets wait and see.
Lin Dan vs Chong Wei Feng . . . battle of the left handers. Can CWF take advantage of LD 'current' slow form to overcome LD? My take is LD to win (65-35), though I hope CWF can create an upset in this match.
The MS draw has not been good to China. China has 4 MS and all are in bottom half (LCW is in top half). R32 pits LD vs XS R16 pits CL vs HG And (very likely), SF pits LD vs CL These China 'youngster' (XS & HG) could have created some upsets if they have been pitted against other opponents. Good for LCW, having to only play one China player in Japan Open, if LCW wins here.
WYH may be saving the afterburner for G3. I think that's a good tactic by CHN WS players - make use of superior conditioning to run the opponent into the ground. And then... wham! But under PJB's program, the Japan WS players have narrowed the gap in all departments. And they lead clearly in one department- looks!
WYH must be a little confused. "Is that a mirror-image of WSX I'm playing against? So, is it ok to lose against her? She sure sounds a lot like my team-mate!"
Do the live streams work for you guys? The "Live event will be starting shortly" has been up for hours now.
Yeah. limsy can be happy (for now) Carolina Marin is still improving. I hope she can crack into the top 5 by year-end.
They weren't working on Bet365 either for a while but they've just begun to work since a few minutes.
