HU YUN! What an extraordinary run. We just had the pleasure of hearing that Hu Yun defeated Chen Long, and the pleasure of watching him defeat the infuriated Jan O Jorgensen, in the Japan Open 2014, to make it to the final. I couldn't find any other topics on him, so please excuse me if there is a thread.
Hu Yun is a 32 year-old from China who plays for Hong Kong.
In the recent Japan Open, you can only see his match with Jan O Jorgensen. In the first game, you could see Hu Yun's proper aggression and ability to dispel Jorgensen's attacking play. It was really fascinating to see that he could handle such attacking play well, which begs the question: can he defeat LCW in the final?
I think it'll be a very close game because Hu Yun has handled Chen Long, who has great coverage, and Jan Jorgensen, who has a good attacking play.
He was very fortunate in game 3 after 15 all, as Jan practically imploded after that by making 6! unforced errors in a row to gift the match away.
Against LCW tomorrow in the final, if Lee is feeling generous and lazy, Hu may get 30 point in total... but if Lee is not in the mood and wants to take the early flight back home, Hu will be fortunate to get 15 points total.
