Default tracking opposing player positions while returning a shot

I wonder what is the best way to practice tracking opposing player positions while returning a shot?

Well yes of course but how?

I just ran across this training gadget googling for ideas. I wonder how well it actually helps?

    Has anybody tried it?

Have you ever been walking on the street with your wife/girlfriend by your side but then a pretty girl pops up on your radar? Well, peripheral vision is what you're practising when you try to sneak a look at her without being too obvious to your partner.

Come to think of it, maybe that's why I'm so good at spotting the gaps on the court... lots of practice.

I really like this idea. I can imagine programming it to go faster would make it really difficult especially on deep backhand shots. I think the random mode running faster than the video would be quite challenging.

    nicely put!

on a serious note, i think as you play more often, you'll learn to track your opponents and the lines on the court and it still comes down to footwork, if you're able to get there quicker, you will have time to track your opponents. if you're able to know exactly how far you move according to the number of steps in your footwork, you'll know when the shuttle is out.
