Our club has been using a close pin system to manage player court time. Each player gets a pin which attaches on a horizontal string. There are three courts and 20-30 players all of the same "rank". The end four players go to the court and their pins then move down to a lower string line. When they are done they move back up to the end of the waiting player string line. There are several other rules to mix up player groupings and to try and reduce the possibility of some players not get a fair share of play time. But the system still is far from perfect.

So my question is... is there a better system?

computer Q-ing system, when you enter after you pay, you are to type your name into the front counter computer and the computer will generate a password, then you go to a computer booth to sign up for the court. a computer keeps track of how many minutes are left at each court.
