Hello everyone I'm primarily a doubles player, and I play mostly with an all round style, mostly setting up my partner and playing defense, and attacking when I have to. I currently uses a 3UG5 AS11, and I like this racket but feel it is too slow for doubles play. I'm looking for a 4U racket and I've used both head-heavy and head-light ones, mainly the VT7 and the NR700RP. I'm looking at either the VT80, VT70, or switching to Victor and getting a MX80, MX90, or BS LYD. I prefer stiff rackets, as I've gotten used to the AS11, but I've heard quite a few horror stories about both the stiffness and head-heaviness of the VT80 and MX80. What would you suggest?
If you think the Arsaber is too slow, how come you even think about a Voltric? Nanoray would be the obv solution...
I've used the VT7 and the ZFII before and they felt fast enough for me. The AS11 just feels sluggish for some reason
VTZF II 4u is definitely faster than Arc 11 if you make a big swing. But to think of improving the defending and net playing beside attacking, the others 4u Voltric or Arc FB, Nanoray 700->900 should be a better choice
vt60 has a flexible shaft, not what the OP would want. i agree maybe because the as11 is not as stiff as you think, i generally switch from my nr800 to the as11 because the as11 is more forgiving as well as more flexible. i think either nanoray700s would fit your needs
Hmm the zf2 and mx80/90 3u I have used quite a bit as main rackets and can say for certain personally the as 11 is stiffer then mx90 buy not as stiff as mx80 Also as11 to me feels significantly faster on drives and defense compared to the other ones I mentioned (especially considering the other ones are much more head heavy then the as11)
I would recommend the Victor JS10 for the stiffness you like or the Victor JS12 for the power and is pretty similar in stiffness to the Arc 11.
