Are there any known clones for the Yonex Carbonex series? Thinking of getting one or something like it on the cheap but would like to do some research on it first. In searches, I've only managed to find clones of Yonex's Muscle Power and Armortec series. So if anyone knows any rackets which are modelled like them or you feel play similarly to them, please let me hear them.
    Cheers.

Hmm......I have not yet seen one before.
This is a very interesting question :)

CABs' price is usually lower than new MP & AT series....so it's not the main target for clone makers I guess......

Yeah, I suppose so. But you would think that the Carbonex series' popularity alone would be reason enough to model some rackets on them. It is quite ridiculously difficult to find places which sell them where I live. :(

Cab 20s are a definitely a great value vs. MP99/100 or AT700/500. Here in Manila they retail at about a third of the price of the MPs and ATs.
What is THE version of the Cab 20 to get? Available at local stores are the Special, Sp, Ti, Tour, and MP. I've checked out the review section and I there doesn't seem to be a concensus.
btw, local prices here ranges from US$90 to US$120. How does this compare?

Local prices for the Cab20 turned out to be cheaper than I thought:

    Cab20 SP 2u Made in Japan $80

Is it significantly cheaper in other Asian cities?

btw, what's the difference between the sp and the special? I read somewhere in the reviews that the special was made in taiwan. However, the special I saw was clearly marked "made in japan". (cab20 special about $76)

    Clones ...

Yeah, Winex do have clones of the Yonex Cab including the Cab 8, 20, 25 as well the Boron-2. It is actually up to your local Winex distributor whether it is worth the effort (based on demand) to carry these older models. Since you are in the UK, you can contact Mark at www.winexdirect.com

Sorry, not enough demand for them locally. Tad's might still have the ISO 600 and ISO 800 clones.

Hi-Qua has a HQ-20. Other than logo, outlook is exactly same as Cab 20.
