    Hey Richard,

Why not just drop-in at a local community center and play... get used to the local badminton scene? If you're an experienced player, you might want to check out Collingwoods Neighbourhood House on Sundays (12pm-2:30pm). Drop-in fee is $5... $2 for gym use, $3 for shuttles.

Hi, Richard, Li Dan is my favorite player also. I viewed his game in the last Chinese Open in Guangzhou last December. And I brought the DVD of Chinese Open matches also. Maybe I can share with you in the future. :D :D :D

    Hey Richard,

There's Friday drop-in at Britannia Community center from 7pm-10pm. Drop-in fee is $4.50. They play with plastic shuttles and they got a good mix of players there. Another place that opens on Friday night is the University of BC Badminton Club. Drop-in fee is $7 for non-student, but you don't have to pay for the rest of the term after three consecutive visits (reaching $35). Plastic shuttles mostly and setting is more recreational than competitive. Some good players. A good thing about them is their rotation system, every member has a signup card with their name and playing level on it (except drop-ins, of course).

There is also Saturday afternoon drop-in badminton at Britannia Community Center as well. Starts at 1:15 to 5pm.

If you are interested, you can play at the Vancouver Racquets Club as a guest (fee is $10 or less if the member has a coupon). There are a number of VRC members than could sign you in.

thanks you guys giving me so many ideas

    but my problem are:

    1. can I find a partner in drop-in session?

2.How many games can i play in drop-in session?

3.I don't even know a member of Vancouver Racquets Club who can sign me in.Is anyone of you the member?

4.So strange to me to play plastic shuttles here coz we just play feather in China? Does plastic need special skill ans special racquet?

    thanks
    -richard:)
