I'll rephrase that has anyone gone beyond the stringing tension recommodation for the MP100 3U? like strung at 24-26?

My 2u mp100 is strung at 25lbs and the 3u at about 24lbs. Both are fine. I know someone who recently had his 2u MP100 strung to 28lbs. If you have a good stringer and you are fairly careful with your racquet, you needn't worry about stringing up to 5lbs above the recommended tension.

Is it safe to string a MP100 3U at 26 lbs?

Depends how good your stringer, if you mishit alot and if you clash alot.

Agreed with the other posters... high tension will also reduce the lifespan of your racquet. If you're skillful enough and/or have a deep wallet, strung it up really tight by all means.

High tension does play a role to determine the life span of a racket. However, proper storage, clash, bump could be even more signifcant than the tension itself.

Saw many players strung MP100 (2u or 3u) with 25+ lb numerous of times, and personally I think it's ok. Most of broken rackets are more due to clashes and mis-hit.

Hmmm ... what are your opinions on a racket after it has been clashed if:

    a. the racket was strung at 22 lbs-ish
    b. strung at 28 lb-ish

Would the racket integrity suffer more because of more taut strings?

Absolutely. More stress on frame with increased tension, so the higher the tension the greater risk of frame fracturing from clashes.

Higher tension does put extra stress on the frame. Racket with lower tension tend to have better chance to survive in minor clash. However, if things like a huge clash (say, during jump smash, etc), then, that won't make too much difference.

not correct grasshoppers. Like tempered glass, high tensioned racquet is stronger than a less tensioned racquet, assuming the racket was strung correctly (and depend on racket original shape) and tension is below material yield strength. Tempered glass is 4x stronger than regular glass. However, each fails differently but it's all the same, a broken racquet in 2 pieces is no better than a broken racket with 4 pieces, they are both useless.
