    This is my friend's racket.

He broke it on his first play.. Strung at 24/25 lbs. I wasn't with him at that time but he said he didn't clash with anyone, playing happily and all of a sudden, broke at 12 o'clock position.

What do you think might have caused it? If clash with someone, most likely would be in the 10 or 2 o'clock position right?

Sorry, he only sent me 1 photo.

No clash. At 12 o'clock. Sounds like stringer error.

Was a load spreader not used?

Good point. It was brand new, strung at the shop with expensive machine. Although he didn't see it with his own eyes, I am sure the shop knows what they are doing..

I have read a couple of threads here regarding to VTZF2 and how the frame cracked from mishits, I am starting to wonder if that's the case, I cannot believe this racket is so fragile. crack from mishit?? Wow!

Oh well, he left it with the shop to see if they can get a warranty replacement.

I guess the first gen VTZF is a more solid racket. Mine is few years old and aside from chips, still an okay solid racket.

I haven't bought the ZF II yet though.

12 O'clock position. It's stringer problem. I bet stringer fix clamp hurt the frame.

How? My fixed clamps do not touch the frame.

12 o'clock position is only a steel support part on stringing machine. Recommended get a "Teeth Clamp" for better protection for your frame. MBS do selling it, but it's not cheap tho.

For the right way, your clamp should TOUCH only surface of your frame, but not CLAMP as hard as you can. In case your frame running out of shape. ;)
