Hard weave/ soft weave

    Just out of curiosity, is this a new term for most stringers? That is what I was told.

    I only learned it from Kwun but I haven't talked to the local stringers about it before.

    Same here. I think Kwun might have coined a new stringing term. :)

    Heard it all over the place... My 76 year old grandfather uses the phrase! He always used to weave one ahead.

    yup. it is not something i invented. IIRC, i learned it from some tennis stringing video on youtube.

    Yep, we use the two terms 'hard-weave' and 'soft-weave' in tennis and they're both definitely terms that are well known in that community.
