I bought a bunch of shuttlecocks from China and realize their speed is too slow. The quality is okay but the speed really ruins the games. I am wondering if anyone knows any tricks to make the birdies fly faster ? Please share...thanks.

Bend alternate feather tips (top 2-3mm) inwards.

There are two ways to increase the speed shuttlecocks:
    1. Adding weight shuttlecocks by placing it in the freezer for 2 hours before use.
    2. Reducing the diameter of a circle shuttlecock (eg. 68 mm to 67 mm) by transferring into a tube smaller packs for several days.

I second. Used to dip them 2-3 times in a bowl of warm water. Just the feathers and put them back in the tube. IMO this works really well for slow shuttles.
