Anyone can share to me with your experience to BG80 ??

    I'm a current NS95 & BG66UM user.
But heard BG80 quite good in repulsion n better control than BG66UM.

bg80 is very hard feel... some people like it, some don't

bg66um has better repulsion and control

but zm62 has even better repulsion and control and feel

As from the info, Lindan using zfii @ BG80...

is that BG80 just feeling hard or even repulsion affected???

Zm62 i did tried once. It's really good. But not durable. I play for 1 month+ the string torn.
From Yonex official website shows BG80has better control than BG66UM ??? Confusing

It really depends with your playing style.
Do you like control or offensive play ?
I use BG66UM before, so I can give a little bit comparison.

BG80 is a rough coating and good repulsion string.
Power is great, a great offensive string especially in high tension.
Control is a great one because of rough coating, especially for net play.
Feeling is very subjective, I love rough string but not for others.
Durability is very good and absolutely better than BG66UM,
but not as good as BG80 Power at high tension.
    (Broke BG80 faster than BG80P)

If you like offensive game style, choose BG80.
BG66UM is the best string ever, but durability is the major issue here.
Broke in no time and overtime loss of feeling with high tension.
But it rewards you an excellent control and repulsion.

Above all, try by yourself so you will know better.
Because this is pretty subjective reference.
    Thank You. . . .

    Notes :
    BG66UM and BG80 with ArcSaber 10.
    BG80 and BG80P with N90 Gen 1.
    String Tension : 28 Lbs.

Over 1 month for an incredible string... that's quite acceptable for the magic it produces. :D

Great sharing from u. I'll choose BG80 instead.
My style is offensive n control. Side line smash, back court clear, net drop & cross court net.
    4 main styles. :D

PS: singles / doubles i play both. :D

Seriously???? Wow.. that's impressive..:eek: You must be a young guy then..:D

Honestly, you better watch out man.. you don't want wear out your knee faster than expected. You might be good and strong for now, but excessive use of legs and knee power will lead to issues with knee cap, patella tendinitis in the future..;)

I heard BG66UM loose tension quite fast. (as compare to BG80) Is that true?

BG80 is quite a popular string, at least I know most of my friends use them regularly.

I bought a racket on BC that was strung with BG80 possibly from 6 or so years ago, and it's still very much strong, after a month or so of use. I find it very powerful and I think well rounded players would like it a lot.
There's something about the feeling of BG66 Ultimax, though. It's almost explosive.

Unfortunately that is 100% true. It usually start losing tension before it starts fraying (I play 3-4hrs a week and it loses tension after 1 month or so).

It loses so much tension that its almost unbearable. Its a torture whether to cut it or live with it until it snaps...

So far, bg80 lasted for me a long time. If I dun have any mis hit, each string job will last me approximately 6 months.

Bg 80 is a wonderful string for hard hitters! It's a super hard feeling string that I use all the time. It will have that high bang sound when you smash or hit hard. The rough coating also allows you to slice a lot which is pretty nice :3, it is generally a power string that is durable too! But it tends to fray fast in my opinion.

Then don't string it @ 28lbs then hit plastics! (Sorry had to, saw the other thread :p )

Anyways my experience with BG80 is great. I love the feel, repulsion, and control I get with it. Tension loss, if any, can't be felt since it's hard feel usually covers it up, I assume. ZM62 is better, but way worse durability. I had to stop using it since it's unreliable during tournaments.
