Hi All, We are organizing an event, “Hanwell Longest Rally”, which will take place on the 24[SUP]th[/SUP] August 2014. The notion of this campaign is to gather people from all walks of life to come together to create a badminton history in the Singapore Book of Records. (www.hanwell-longestrally.com.sg) About Hanwell Longest Rally Record Setting A badminton rally will be attempted to place a new local record in the Singapore Book of Records. The record will be decided by the total number of consecutive passes between unique number of participants without dropping the shuttlecock. Beneficiaries · Hanwell Holdings, the title sponsor of the Longest Rally 2014 will donate up to 10,000kg of rice which will be distributed to the low-income residents of Cheng-San Seletar Division. How Does It Work? · Each unique participant will attempt to hit a shuttlecock back & forth using badminton rackets without dropping the shuttlecock consecutively until the record is broken or when the shuttlecock drops onto the floor. If the shuttlecock drops onto the floor, the count will be reset and participants will start over again. What we need from you! We are opening up the invitation of participants to students whom are at least 13 years old from your badminton club or equivalent individuals whom have basic badminton passing skills. Registration will be free-of-charge and members will be directly involved in the setting of this record.
