IMO, the WS top half draw is tougher than the bottom - LXR, Saina, Sung JH and Intanon R as well as Sayaka T, Han Li, Nichaon J and Mitani M are in the mix for a place in the final. Han Li is somewhat unlucky to have to face LXR in R3. Good to see Derek Wong in the competition but he's drawn to meet Tommy S in R1, a tricky proposition for both I guess.
Ratchanok Intanon was hospitalised with influenza. It's uncertain if she will be able to play in Copenhagen. From here Facebook - "There are 2 days of high fever, sore throat, flu is detected, has begun providing medication and better condition now reduced fever and then eat it must maintain in the hospital about 3 days, fever reduction, determined before the drug therapy until 5 days. After treatment and should not stay too much exercise for about 1 week. During this retreat, there diet and drink plenty of water warm for about 8-10 glasses per day." (Translated by Bing)
Get well soon for Ratchanok, there're two defending champions already that can't take part in this year WC
Is Intanon R out of hospital already? There's still two weeks to go, possible for her to barely get ready to play at Copenhagen. I won't entirely discount her chances. The WC is no ordinary tournament, most players esp the highly fancied ones may perform under par in the face of immense pressure to deliver, so upsets are more likely than normal, almost anything can happen.
Wait, where is Tontowi/Lily ?? Anyway good draw for Nitya/Greysia Good hth vs Kamilla/Christina, but they need to worry abt Reika/Miyuki...before facing Chn brigades
Towi/Liliyana had been pulled out due to Towi ankle injury, now they will focus to Incheon AG preparation
Many MS players got a bit lucky they didn't face thougher opponents in the first round. Some, looking at Takuma Ueada and Rajiv Ouseph, weren't as lucky. I doubt that Henri Hurskainen make's it out of the first round, but who knows. Perhaps Axelssen starts to feel the pressure.

Ahsan/Setiawan and Simon Santoso withdrew from Worlds. Ahsan suffered lower back pain, while Simon has to be hospitalized because of dengue fever.
It is a total nightmare for Indonesia's team. And of course it is very very sad news for people who are going to watch the worlds..
I'm very disappointed that Santoso has withdrawn. I really felt that he was one of the favorites, and probably the only person who could challenge LCW for the title. Without Santoso, without Tago, without Lin Dan, this will be a very disappointing WC. I feel like it adds even more shame to the BWF for not allowing the best player to compete. Now even the other top favorites are out. Don't take your players for granted. A tournament is nothing without the best and most talented players. Empty win for LCW, without any real challengers.
Indeed, triple blows for INA camp, two defending champions plus Simon Santoso will not make their trip to Copenhagen, what a really bad news... BWF News regarding to Ahsan/Setiawan and Simon pulled out from WC => http://www.bwfbadminton.org/news_item.aspx?id=87091 Agree, too many withdrawals here...WC stage should be the contest of all best players.
For Ashan/Setiawan, I am sooy for them but they never give a good show. Which is not the case with the spectacular and entertaining Tontowi and Liliana
