SHB 55HS or 55 Light

Hi

I need a new pair of shoes,the choice is between SHB 55HS or SHB 55 light.

The SHB 55HS is 65 USD (included shipping)
the SHB 55 Light is 71 USD (included shipping)

now,anyone know whats the difference between the two shoes?

Well,i really would like on of those new pair of shoes (who wouldnt?)

but they are a bit expensive (im 12)

The reason why i considered SHB 55 was because of its price (pretty cheap)

wonder... is there a very big difference between the new and the shoes?

I have a pair of SHB-55LT myself (I guess it's just called SHB-55L in Denmark), and I find that it is a bit lighter than the 55HS. From the construction of things, it seems to me that the 55HS is a bit less sturdy as well. You'll notice in the 55HS that the outer side of the shoe (close to the small toe) has the mesh material, whereas in the 55L / 55LT the mesh material is found on the top of the foot. The 55HS is supposed to offer a tad more heel support with the heel guard thingie at the back, but personally, I feel the back of the 55LT is already stiff enough, and I didn't notice any additional support with the 55HS.

Other parts of the shoes are pretty much idential.

If need the shoes now, by all means, go get them. The 55HS will save you a few bucks, but I have a feeling the 55LT will be slightly more durable. If you can wait for a bit, however, you might want to wait and see how the new Yonex shoes will be priced.

I would avoid the SHB55. The inner soles are glued poorly, and comes loose. Your feet will slide around inside and cause blisters, not to mention no grip. Basically, you are getting what you pay for. I know many people who have the 55H and 55L and is in the same situation. Also the back of the shoe is not smooth but pointed, so digs into the back of the heel.

The good points I found are that it is light and low off the ground.

The hi-tec adrenalin series of shoes are better in my opinion.

Wow... I guess I must have gotten a good pair then, cuz mine has been rock solid.

And additional benefit with the 55LT is that the shoes have awesome ventilation (even better than the 89M, IMO). But compared to the high end stuff, it certainly isn't as cushy.
