Seems ur home is kinda too far from NYC. I don't know too much about south NJ area. Hope other members might be able to help.

We've just set up a new badminton club in Central Jersey. We play in three locations three times a week (usually after office hours). There's two in Edison and one in Union, New Jersey. I checked and you're about an hour away from Edison and even farther from Union. If you're willing to drive then just let me know. Chris

We just started the club last June. We play in 3 different locations, the one in Union we play in every Thursdays. Where did you use to play in NJ? Here's the address YM-YWHA Union (2 courts) 501 Green Lane, Union, NJ 07083 Office: 908-289-8112 Thursday night 7:30pm to 9:30pm $33 for the summer season for the court Our last playing day in Union for the summer is on Sept 8.
