    Hi all,

You probably have seen this pair play, but i have to say how impressed i am with their gameplay! Watching them in their semi-finals against Lee and Yoo they performed the most amazing display of mens doubles i have seen, probably falling short of the Sydney Olympic final, but i wasnt to expect this from a Chinese pair. Just goes to show after reading the LiYongBo artical by Kwun, thir doubles programme has only been in real progress for 3-4 years, and look at Cai and Fu. To be honest, if these two are anything to go by, there could be a strong dominance of Chinese in the mens doubles within the next five years.

However, an awesome pairing and one to look out for in Athens.

    Don't Hate Me...

I don't know, perhaps they're still too young, who knows? But I am not quite impressed with the two of them as a doubles pairing as I find their style quite common, just faster and stronger. They are probably as strong or as fast as Kim DM but definitely not as wise and smart on the court as the Korean, making their game somehow pretty boring if you ask me.

And just look at how they crashed against JR/Lars in the second game - this is not the mark of a powerful pairing if you're to ask me. A pairing of Jonassen/Gade could even beat them if they actually played doubles, or lose in a very narrow margin. I've seen previous #5s or #7s in the world play in a more imaginative and creative than they do.

I prefer Sang Yang and Zheng Bo who seemed to be a little more daring and adventurous in their games, and most especially Sang Yang who is showing a some promise in becoming the the next Sigit with his bit of flair and creativity.

Hate mails, not welcomed. ;) :D

I am a cai/fu fan too but i have to agree that they play a very fast and powerful game, but definitely not a smart game... Maybe they still need more time to improve...

I second that... they have very similar facial features. Aaron, I think is darker of the two.

Yes! I think the playing style of Sang Yang and Zheng Bo
    is more varying and creativity.

i tend to agree. Sang Yang / Zheng Bo and more variation when it comes to defense and placement, they also have more natural and smoother court movement. they are not as big and Cai/Fu, but they don't lack behind that much in the power department. they quite comfortably smashed through Eriksen/Luungard for example.

    yup, you're right...

i think that sang/zheng are just as good as cai/fu...but they're ranked sixth compared to cai/fu's second..
perhaps this could be because they cant play well against players from other countries??..they seem to be able to cope pretty well against their own teammates...

also they are quite injury prone. Zheng Bo just recovered from an injury, and Sang Yang had one during one of the tournament, he was limping around while playing the game.
