    Hi BCers

I need advise. Recently I keep having cramps at my calves. Sometimes either side. Worse at times both at the same time. I always do some stretching and warm up b4 my games. Even applyin oitments doesnt help. What shld I do?

Will using K tapes help? Or mayb wearing calf sleeves? Will it work?

Please advise. Not really enjoyin my game nowadays.

    Thanks all.

There are a lot of theories as to what causes cramps and here are some of them.

    1. Fatigue
    2. Lack of fitness
    3. Muscles cold
    4. Dehydration
    5. Mineral deficiency

I personally find that fatigue and poor fitness is my main cause. Although I have found 3 & 4 also true.

Body system could b lacking of salt minerals. Or tensing up ur legs too much while playing. One remedy I took in the past is eno fruit-salt.

Could also be posture related. Do you jump smash a lot ? Its very taxing on calves when landing.
Calf compression socks will help. But they are a pain to take off....
