I have recently converted some negatives into CDs and thought I should try to post a pic here of my Varsity Club's friendly game with the Changi Beach Club late last year. Just like to know how many of you can identify me.

Sorry I just can't get the pic through! And I meant to post this in the Chit Chat column.

I got the message that my file is too large. Sorry.

Any other solutions? Or how to reduce file size?

Guess I've got to give up as file size at 856k is much bigger than the 175k allowed?

I thought I should followup with this old post and include the pic as promised, now that I am more accustomed to managing attachments. This is a pic of our Sunday's group's friendly with the Changi Beach Club late last year after we had finished and were hosted to a buffet lunch and beers:

Hugo always wins! :p I think he will also grab the Olympics title (but only kwun's Olympics guessing game) hands down!

Of course Dave knows the answer as well as he has been observant in all the previous clues that I posted earlier. :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence Loh! :) :D But I think you are pretty used to winning yourself, eh (how's the t-shirt size)??? That AE "victory" was just lucky as Zhang/Yang "retired" to their team mates in the finals again and that Kwun did not use the suggestion given by LB. If he did, only Libra woulda taken it!!!

Well, better start guessing on my candiates for Athens now!!! :D :D :D

I was going to say in the back, third from the left. Hey, your club looks like mine, with mostly guys who should have switched to tennis or golf years ago, but stubbornly refuse to admit that their body doesn't listen to their mind anymore. Do you play those friendlys often? My club is looking for worthy opponents.

Well novl, looks like we're all hard core badminton fanatics who refuse to give up the game despite our sunset years. Some of us do play golf as well but nothing is quite like a hard, well-balanced baddy game when you really sweat for it!

This pic was taken at the Changi Beach Club where we were guests and there are a few such well-established private clubs here including the Chinese Swimming Club, Singapore Swimming Club and the Warren Golf & Country Club that have thier own badminton courts and other social and recreational facilities. Some big companies like the SIA (Singapore Airlines), SingTel (Singapore Telecoms), PSA (Port of Singapore Authority), etc, also have their own facilities, including badminton courts.

Friendly badminton matches are organized among such clubs and other badminton groups and if you and your badminton buddies feel like flying to Singapore to have a few matches with the various Singapore clubs, we will be most delighted to oblige. :)
