Do England get 3 mixed pairs in the Olympics?

    Hmm, look who is creeping up the mixed doubles rankings today at number 16. It's the 2000 Olympic bronze medallist! And this is after a knee injury where his tendon snapped in WC 2001.

    quite likely! especially when Denmark has 4 pairs in the top sixteen so the 17th will get to go.

    however, consdering the form of Kim/Ra, it probably doesn't make much of a difference. unless they are fighting for the Silver...

    Archer pulled out of last events with injury and had an operation on his back, hopefully he will be fit to play at Athens. They have done well to climb into top 16, given he had no ranking a year ago. It is important for English media interest that a defending medallist is playing.
