In a tournament, what does ABCD drop flight and round robin means? Does that mean there will be 4 champion in each A,B,C,and D? All players start at A lvl, the loser got drop one lvl, and the winner stay at that same lvl?
In Ontario, the ABCD system works as follows: Round 1 If you win your first match, you are slotted into the A/B round. If you lose your first match, you are slotted into the C/D round. Round 2 If you win your second match, you are slotted into the A round or C round for the rest of the tournament (depending on whether you are in the A/B or the C/D) If you lose your second match, you are slotted into the B round or D round for the rest of the tournament (depending on whether you are in the A/B or the C/D) And yes, there are champions for each of the A B C D rounds.
round robin means everybody in the event plays each other because there's not enough people to have a fair draw. usually happens with 2 - 5 players. then you decide 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
