Hi how to you guys maintain your racket head heavy after stringing and wrapping a towel grip? Initial when brand new without string and only the original grip it is easy, but after stringing and towel grip, wouldn't the balance be shift to the center or even become head light?

You have to remove the original grip before putting on the towel grip.

Rubbish. Your balance point will shift but the swing weight will be the same. So your racket will be not headlighter, because the weight at the head area is still the same. It feels headlighter, but you will have still a 42+g swing weight if your dry racket was head heavy. Don't mind much about the balance point.

if you add weight at head, swing head will be the same??? I think if there is an extra weight at the head definitely there will be a change on swing weight... due to mass momentum of extra weight plus with weight of the head... and the balance point is where its determine the pin or pivot point of your head type... either heavy head or light head... the only set back is the racket will be more heavier that original.. or can you explain more in detail what you mean..

I was talking about the grip topic. For sure, if you add weight at the head you will have more swing weight.

    Hi there

Actual balance measurement for any racket is measured WITHOUT string and also add-on/replacement grip being applied therefore its factory original grip is part of the measurement parameter.

If you bought a brand new head heavy balance racket ( BPM > 290mm), adding string afterwards will add additional fraction of weight to your new racket head therefore increasing your racket head weight slightly if your original factory grip is still intact. This added weight would be fractionally be around ~ 5 g

To counter this as what visor said, remove the original factory grip and put a replacement grip since towel and Pu grip would fractionally weight around ~ 15 g (by roughly estimating that an original factory grip will weight fractionally around ~ 10 g).

If even after this being done and you feel that it's not as head heavy that you originally feel in your swings, buy a lead tape (the tape is made of lead) onto the racket head and adjust the amount of tape that you need to paste accordingly.

The way you grip your racket will affected BP of your racket. As I seen. Some ppl grip cover cond area. Some even grip up to shaft area. Smaller grip you can feel more head heavy feel when you swing it.
