Recently been curious what lindan using in australia open with full black n yellow string.
After few sources, that's no more mystery things.
It's ZFII with BG80 @ 31lbs (LD australian stringer exposed this breaking news)

As LD previous racket N90 it's super heavy for me. But LD still addon white tape to the head to increase some head heavy feel. But can this Black ZFII weight alright for LD ? I've measure of my own ZFII in 3U full equiped. (BG80 @ 31lbs + yellow towel grip) it's only 88.6g.

    N90 with white tape = 315mm BP. 95g in weight.(Estimated n measure with my own N90)

so that i've make up my mind. use an Apacs ZFII 3U (88g) into my experiment. (No heart pain feel)

    1. I've removed all the grommet of my Apacs zfii.
    2. Use black spray paint to spray on my Apacs zfii.
    3. 1 layer of spray for whole racket. let it dry for 20mins. Weight 88.6g now.
    4. 2nd layer of spray on head of frame only. weight 89.3g on 2nd layer.
    5. 3rd layer, 4th layer repeated and adjust your own BP.. Zfii BP become 308mm weight 92.5g now currently.
    6. strung BG80 @ 31lbs. The feeling is really good. like the theory of baseball. Heavy on head. I've no doubt at all in smash n shuttlecock easily lift up to the back of court.

    CONCLUSION :

LD zfii which in black. Suspected atleast 6th layer of black spray paint on head to increase weight without adding any white tape on the top of frame.

(PS: Pictures of whole process i've recorded. will upload some pictures for sharing purpose shortly.) :p

There are already a few threads "dedicated" to this topic. ;) :D

    BTW, you say,
Are you sure you've got it right? This sounds strange to me. The 3u ZF-2s are all normally found in the higher 3u register, i.e. around 88 gms dry weight.

:D Yes. Pretty sure. I've been surprise of it. BG80 + towel grip. it's 88.6 - 88.9g for my ZFii in SP code.
Not so sure is it my measurement error. As i measure 3 times. take the average weight of it. it's 88.6g in result.

But it's a good way to adjust my own BP in this way. but suggested to use not branded racket to do. (No heart pain) :p

^ Because he likely had removed the original grip, so that's 8g less... ;)

^ Although you're still half right, as I calculate his dry wt to be around 85.2g...:)

So, let's say a half of a full-length towel grip used. How much do you figure that to be?

    Original grip 8g

    BG80 3.4g
    Towel grip half length ~6g
    Electrical tape ~2g

    So, dry wt 88.6+8-3.4-6-2 =85.2g

Well, I wouldn't be so sure on LD using a ZForce II. My friend bought a racket from Yoobao which looks exactly like the racket he used. The difference? Its only around 75gms in weight - dry.

I will try out the racket in our next badminton session and take some photos about it.

I'd put cold hard cash on the fact that LD's rackets (The N90's, at least) are over 90g and have a BP well in excess of 320mm, if not 330mm.

Can't believe you're not horribly embarrassed by this ridiculous 'project'. Any other projects like this you can enthrall us with? Maybe you've made your own Superman outfit out of second-hand leotards, or turned your 95 Honda Civic into a Lamborghini, using only old fridges and body filler?

I'm not a car or costume lover. But racket lover. Good suggestions. But i think you can be the one to start this project to impress us since you have a creative mind. :)
