I let my racket strung, but I find out it is somehow too hard.
How can I reduce the tension?
    Thanks in advance.

    Marc
P.S. this forum looks somehow different  I meant, more beautiful :)

You can let it rest for a month, and it should go down at least a pound.
Time is the way to reduce tension :)

    or...
if you're in a hurry and need to use the racquet
sooner - just cut the strings and restring it at a
    lower tension :p

    :D

    Reducing string tension

Lend your racket to a friend who hits very hard or smashes a lot for his warm up. This may reduce the tension. Hope he doesn't break your string.

Smash with it, it might help. When I strung my racquet at 22x24 and smash alot with it, it always lose 1-2 lbs very fast, especially if it's bg-65

A really dangerous move would be untie the knot and retie it a little bit off, but I don't recommend it this way because it's too risky. :D:D

Hope he has enough left out string to make the new knot first.

Thanks to all, I will try all the way you suggest (even with the vinegar) :D
My string BG 68 Ti .. it doesn't loose the tension so fast, I think.
Anyone has experience with BG 68Ti?

From my experience, BG68Ti loses tension lik crazy if you dont pre-stretch it... if you find someone who can hit pretty hard (on the sweetspot and NOT on the rim) and let him use the racket for an hr or two... can almost guarantee you that the tension would drop a LOT

how can it loose the tension? Is it because of the acidity of the vinegar eating thru the strings?

Damn! I would rather do it the old-fashioned way... smashing continously with nylon birdies:D.

It's always the same I notice after a restring the tension is a bit too much until I have played with it for about a week then it is fine and things stay in the court more.

Does leaving a racket in a warmer place not losen the strings off slightly?

I don't want to try vinegar because yo'all know what it smells like :p

You can just use it for hours and it should go down a pound or two.

No because it stinks out the string so much you'll be glad to cut them - sure way to lose some unwanted string tension!

I did this as a joke to my team mate once because she was to tight to have her 10lb tensioned racket restrung - it worked. ;)

Soy sauce does similar trick as well but it leaves dark stains, so pretty obvious someone's tempered with the strings. Vinegar less obvious other than the smell.

    Does this help?

Have you tried to step on your racket? I think this helps with Tennisracket but how about badminton? :)

    Any comments?
