not much other than it looks cheaper. probably made by some Chinese OEM. the square peg in the top support reminds me of AEF for some reason.

This is a shame - doesn't look like a Toyo Zouki, but an off-the-shelf model with Yonex stickers on it.

Definitely - definitely - not worth the usual Yonex money.

    Hi everybody
Just curious if you look at the fixed clamp and the clamp base as a unit such that the two add together = 10, what is the importance of the fixed clamp and the clamp base (6:4)? Would changing the fixed clamp to Toyo Zouki make up for the difference in great price difference between ES5pro and the ST 8000?

It looks as though the fixed clamps are T-Z (the red dipped handles make it appear so), but even assuming they weren't... no.

Pretty much everything about the ES5 generated expense - the mounting system, the clamp bases, the puller unit, the turntable... all of it unique to that machine. IMO, adding only one part from this lot to the ST8000 won't give you an ES5-but-cheaper.

I wouldn't get this machine even if I could afford it - look how thin the shoulder supports are... you might as well be using knives.

I mean owner of ES5. On the shoulder support, it looks to me similar to those on Gamma 6004 or Exthree BE300

The entire machine looks like a hidge-podge of Exthree bits, to be perfectly frank.

Been keeping this secret for like 6 months now, glad it's finally officially out.

This seems like a decent alternative to the Protech machines for half the price for people who only string badminton. And unlike most of you guys, I don't think the machine looks cheap. It sure isn't like the Protech 8, but I still think it looks pretty nice and it's made for badminton stringing, so I doubt you'll have the feeling that the machine was just "adapted" for badminton like most machines nowadays.

it is made in TW from the same factory as my own defi machine
the mounting is not as weak as it 1st look form my experience
it is accurate to the 0.1 digit and can demonstrate the dynamic tension change as the wise head
the clam is just like the one i have with some paint on it so it is quite possible that is not a TY clamp(which is in my opinion one of the very great feature and reason for the price tag for yonex machine.
overall i think the machine is well built. however if it aims to make yonex machine mare affordable to stringers it just did a very poor job. You can get nearly all features of this machine from the same factory with different brand stickers (Defi, Forten ,Kawasaki) for half the price would anyone have an incentive to buy it?

shoulder support designed to reduce access difficulty to the strings. machine designed only for badminton. the size of support quiet enough for badminton. technically no issues.

Did you ever manage to solve the problem? I've been trying to find information about how to fix this error because it keeps popping up on my machine.
