Can anyone point me in the direction of good courts (no draft etc) to play at around TPY area (+/- 10 mins drive) that are open for bookings either peak hours on weekdays or whole day for weekends?

Toa Payoh Sports Hall and SAFRA aside of course.

Not looking for a game to join, but good courts that are open for booking (school halls/cc etc.)

Thank you.

(no draft etc) <--- is it typo and refer to no drift ? :)
Then he had mentioned Toa Payoh Sports Hall and SAFRA aside of course but still have people mentioned them.

Toa Payoh Sports Hall do have drift and it is difficult avoid drift if booking sports hall in Singapore.
Not so sure about school halls in Toa Payoh area.
Think the cc in Toa Payoh are all ceramic tiles but however may not have drift.

Not too sure if the badminton community refers to it as drift but draft (or draught) refers to air currents in an enclosed area. I guess its the same as long as the intended meaning is brought across. :)

Thanks anyway but hoping to get some feedback on viable school hall/cc courts in the area.

Looks at this moment is only both of us have the common understanding.

Over here we usually call it as drift.

Not much choices if were to book courts in Singapore and as we had mentioned, most sports hall have the drift.

By the way, Bendemeer Sec Sch Hall is good for Sat Sun but not Beatty Sec Sch Hall.
Hoped you are a PR or Singaporean, because only that then can book 15days in advance for sports hall/ sch halls; otherwise would be only 14days in advance and by that time all time slots maybe already all booked away

Hi rsimky,

You may be aware that courts in Toa Payoh are very very popular. Suggest you try booking a court at these places:
- Toa Payoh West CC
- Toa Payoh Central CC
- Thomson CC (which is not too far away from Toa Payoh)
- Pierce Secondary School (weekends, Bishan area)

There are other courts available for booking in Toa Payoh and nearby but might not be up to your expectations:
Toa Payoh East CC (dim lighting)
Toa Payoh South CC (dim lighting, draft)
Beatty Secondary School (draft)
Whampoa CC (dim lighting)
Bishan Sports Hall (draft)

Good luck.

Regards,
Resident of Toa Payoh :)

You could also consider Tanglin CC (Whitley road), Cairnhill CC (Newton Circus), Potong Pasir CC and Kolam Ayer CC. Community Centres/School Halls in Ang Mo Kio might be a stretch unless you drift :D

Sealman Thank you for the information you provided! This will save me countless sessions of trail and error.

Just to clarify as I've not used the onePA system previously, do the courts open 7/14/15 days in advanced and at 0000hrs?

You can book the badminton courts 15 days in advance. The booking window opens at 10.00pm each day.
