The old G2 was definitely smaller, no matter what they say.

Compare a Yonex G5 with a (new) Victor G5, too - the Yonex is smaller.

From what I've had. I've found that the old pre 2011 G2 is larger than the current G5 and later G2s. While the 2011 onwards G2 are smaller than then current G5

some said G2 is between G4 and G5, on my HK version of LYD it says G2, but CH version said G5

The old Victor G2 was the same as Yonex G5, but I would call the new Victor G5 a Yonex G4.5.

    I have at VT80 3UG4 and a MX90 3UNew-Victor-G5 and would say that the New-Victor G5 is clearly smaller than Yonex G4

Ok, my previous post is of course not contradicting your post. Since Yonex G4.5 is smaller als Yonex G4.

So, also Victor-New G4 is not (roughly) the same as Yonex G4 ?

I think all the new-Victor handles are half a size bigger than the Yonex equivalent. No idea why this should be.

Not sure about that tbh. But personally i like the current G5. It works perfectly with C1025 for me.

Victor has posted this on Facebook:

But they don't say if they measure the handle with the original grip or not.

You can find the Yonex Grip diameters with original grip for instance here: http://badminton-coach.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Petes-Badminton-Guide.pdf

So for instance Yonex G4 diameter = 8,89 cm > 8,5 cm = New Victor G4 diameter. This would contradict of what Mark said or the Yonex original leather grip is much thicker than the Victor one and the Yonex handles are smaller counted without the original grip.
