This string hasn't got its own thread yet, but it's started to appear with retailers, so I thought I'd get the ball rolling.

I've ordered a set myself and will be reviewing it when it gets here, but the opinions of anyone who's already tried it can go in now.

    (I'll be doing a frequency/time table - don't let me forget!)

I saw this a couple of weeks ago but wasn't sure about it as the discription didn't sound like something I would like, but at 0.68mm it is in my preferred gauge range.

Looking at this with interest and may order a set myself.

    Subscribed! :)

    Update:

I'll string it up this weekend so I can get a clean run at the frequency measurements before I use it.

Those are quite bold statements regarding durability

    8/10 durability? Doesn't sound like a true 0.68

Well, I have a micrometer here... I'll get a slack diameter once I open it.

Tbh, though, if it even goes in at 30/31 it'll one up on the most recent batch of VS850:mad:.

I broke it open for measurement, and it's not 0.68, I can tell you. More like 0.72 in the middle of the pack.

Also, it might as well be VS850 for all the difference I can see and feel out of the packet. Still, books and covers, and all that...

an 850 that'll hold it's feeling longer would be perfect.

Mark, since you have your micrometer out, what's VS850 diameter measure?

    Wouldn't it just...

But at this point, one that goes in at 30/31 would be progress. *fp.

Haven't got any 850 any more! Not sullying my stringing den with it unless it's for a customer:).

I wonder if any of the pros who were on VS850 last year will have jumped ship... something to look out for.

I have a single pack left, I'm afraid to use it. I'm sure DuckFeet said he wants it though.

If it's yellow, dump it - I was breaking yellows at 28 before I gave up.

Nah, it's white. 2 broke in the machine and another after 5 minutes of play.

Ironic. Just had 2 yellows last week and had them done at 30/31. Didn't snap.

Strung just now, already some differences from VS850.

Initial ping is 1364 Hz - wow. It's crystal-coblet clean, too:).
