Hi, I'm currently using NR700FX 3U, has been using it for 6 months. Female, Intermediate player, play doubles most of the time. So far i find NR700FX is a good racquet for returning drives and back to back clear shot. However i figured out if i want to do smash, this racquet does a poor job, as the power and the sharpness is not there. Maybe fellas over here can suggest any racquet i can consider? Currently i'm looking at 700RP 3U/4U
I won't bother with NR800 if you do not like NR900. VTZF2 or ZSPEED might be for you.. For doubles, defense would be a disadvantage.
Totally agree with you, VTZF2 or zspeed will be a disadvantage for doubles, tested NR800 and i don't like it too.
Can I ask what tension you've been using on your original racquet? Consider a higher tension for the same racquet. It's usually harder to smash with higher tension but you'll never know if you don't try. Cheaper than changing a new racquet...
Check out Victor brave sword LHI 4u. Even balance and medium stiffness.. perfect for doubles.. speed as well as power.. I use the 3u version. V also own a zforce 4u. Just ain't fast enough for doubles play. I will be surprised if lhi doesn't do it for you.. good luck!
And hey.. Even voltric 80 isn't a bad option. Not sure if there is a 4u version. I used my friend's racket a couple of times.. it's one hell of a racket..
I've never liked my early model voltric 70 and I suspect the v80 would be similar. Definitely not recommended for the OP in my opinion. I think a 4u vzf2 would be better...
I'm afraid you are mistaken. Voltric80 and 70 are very different. The latter is way too head heavy.. in fact, 70 is similar to the zf range.. u should try the 80 once to know what I mean.. cheers..
Did they revise the vt80? I know they had a Peter Gade version but I'd be reluctant to recommend or get a vt80 that was released back in 2011 against the more recent z force models.
Not sure buddy.. I know there is a Peter Gade version of the arc 10. Anyway, there is no such thing as a safe buy when it comes to rackets. So I would never recommend anyone to blind buy any racket. But as long as the racket chooses me, I wouldn't care if it's the latest on the market or otherwise. Besides, I wouldn't recommend buying a top of the line new racket either bcoz they are generally overpriced for what is generally a marginal improvement over its predecessor. Just my two cents..
