If u live in toronto... i think u can help me. There is a sports store in Toronto call "Sports Chek" and i bought a racket from them. I wonder if the racket is fake or real
not weird, but Sports Check tends to carry the lower end Yonex Raquets from what I seen, the more affordable stuff basically. I got a friend who bought a raquet there and liked it, so it depends on personal preference.
VF rackets are vari-frame rackets. they have the carbonex frame shape but an iso head. not bad rackets at all, but they're one of yonex's low end racketes.
I think they have Sportcheck outlets across all of Canada. There's at least 4 of them I can think of from the top of my head in Calgary(Western Canada).
low end..yes..affortable...not exactly...that carry the mp22 or 24 here in vancouver and it costs $139.99 ...and thats for a low end mp. imagine what it would cost to buy an AT700..more than an arm and a leg..maybe $500CDN!?
Sportcheck is the all 'round store to various sporting goods and sell the lower end, cheaper Racquets to the regular day athelete, or one that wants to begin some serious Badminton. It has many lower brands such as Wilson and TechnoPro, and of course, Yonex. I think the lowest racquet I saw at mine was a 80 VF or 8200 CAB Light. I haven't seen a AT there yet. The best I've ever seen there was a MP 22 and a MP 24. But since it is a very big corporation across Canada that people buy equipment from, I don't think that they would buy fakes(who even makes fakes of 80 VFs?).
i doubt a major store like sportchek would be selling counterfeit racquets.... that's not accusing mtv of piracy by downloading the songs they play off kazaa...
but on top of the racket handle, it usually has the serial numbers. But in sport chek they don't have that
